Vintage pictorial map of the world with an illustrated border of trees with information about the tree species. This map was created by Rand McNally & Co for Homelite, to promote their chainsaws. The map appears to be undated but the company used the phrase “The fastest selling chainsaw in the world” in their other advertising in 1968, so this map was likely produced around that time. Includes the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia. Colored by country with vibrant printed color. Good vintage condition with folds, some wear along the folds, a stamp in the upper left corner from the equipment company that was either selling or giving away the map, and two sections (the upper left and lower right corners) that are slightly darker that the rest of the map because those portions face outwards when the map is folded. Measures approx. 37 x 52 inches to the paper edges.
