      Antique printed color pictorial “Sunday School” map of the Holy Land depicting the life of Christ. This map was made by I.S. Hunner and copyrighted by the John Day Company Inc. This map is undated and we speculate that it was published c. 1950. Hunner was born in 1903 and the John Day Company was founded in 1926 and continued operating through the 1970s at least. Decorative border shows parables at the top and bottom and events in the life of Christ on the left and right sides, as explained in the text at the upper left. Christ is depicted throughout the map as an all white figure. This map has been archivally restored- cleaned, deacidified, and lightly backed. With folds as issued. Good restored condition with wear along the fold lines and some repaired tears. Measures approx. 34 x 25 inches to the paper edges. **SOLD**
