High-quality hand-printed and hand colored reproduction of an antique view of Paris, France by G.B. Probst in the 18th century. Text lists the buildings with numbers that correspond to numbers on the buildings in the image. Text at upper left is in German, while text at bottom is in French on left and Latin on right. Made using a combination of modern technology and traditional methods, wherein an original is scanned, its likeness is digitally etched onto an engraving plate, then the plate is used to print the image in the traditional way, with a printing press. It is then hand colored. Approx. 9.5 x 32 inches to the image border. Has some imperfections that give the map a more authentic look. Available in black and white, see code REP408BW.
